Professional Development Support Program

Purpose: The purpose of the CCBD Professional Development Support Program is to support the professional development of all persons involved in providing education or related services to children and youth with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD) consistent with the mission of CCBD. Specifically, the program will provide resources to enable service providers to attend professional development activities that are sponsored by CCBD. The program will enable a team consisting of a special education and a general educator to participate in a professional development activity sponsored by CCBD by paying for conference fees and travel expenses up to a total of $500. The CCBD Foundation reserves the right to offer partial or no funding in a given year. The deadline for applications is October 1.

The purpose of this program is to provide support for service providers of EBD children and youth in order to attend professional development activities sponsored by the Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders (CCBD).

Application Process: Applicants must complete a short proposal that addresses the following:


1. Who is requesting the training?
2. What professional development activity are you requesting to attend and where will it be held?
3. Why is training needed?
4. What specifically do you hope to learn from attending the training that would enhance the lives of students with EBD and/or their families?
5. Itemized budget request
