Our students are bright! The popular game show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” points that out every episode. They are especially savvy about technology and it’s therefore part of our job to nourish this craving since the Internet is here to stay.

The 60in60 website is a great place to get a broad overview of new technologies and learning tools that you might have missed. It is constantly being refreshed as new tools are launched and provides you with just enough info to either make you want to visit the tools’ website or say, “No, that’s not for me right now” and move on. The narrated presentation provides not only a summary of how the technology can be used in education, but also shows you a quick demo. I encourage you to spend some time and increase your Internet IQ, and then you might have a fighting change against your 5th Graders!
