Budget Cuts Crisis

Warning SignWe received bad news on Friday, February 11, 2011: The House of Representatives has introduced a bill (known as a Continuing Resolution) that would cut IDEA Part B funding by over $500 million

CEC has sent out a membership-wide action alert urging CEC members to CALL their members of Congress.  Please see the alert text below and forward this information on to your networks, the more CCBD/CEC members hear how important it is to call, the more likely they'll be to do so.  And don't forget to make your calls, too!  We'll keep you up-to-date as developments unfold.  Thanks for your quick attention! 

Stop and think how tough it is going to be with your current budget...now think what your part of a $500 Million cut would be like!!! Please make your call BEFORE Thursday, February 16 AND urge everyone else to do so too! This is a time for parents and educators to unite and make sure those in Washington know just what these cuts will mean to YOUR district and to YOUR students.  To find your Representative's contact information click here.

Call your Representative Now and tell him or her to oppose the Continuing Resolution.
